What is a blue light test?

A blue light test typically refers to the evaluation of how effectively a particular material, such as glasses or screens, can block or filter blue light. Blue light is part of the visible light spectrum with wavelengths between approximately 380 and 500 nanometers. It is known for potentially causing eye strain and possibly damaging the retina after prolonged exposure, particularly from digital screens.
The blue light test assesses how well a material blocks or filters blue light, which can lead to eye strain and potential retina damage. The process involves using a blue light source, the material being tested, and a light detector to measure the intensity of blue light before and after it passes through the material.

How is a blue light test usually conducted?

Blue Light Source: A light source emitting blue light, often within the spectrum considered harmful to the eyes, is used.
Material for Testing: Glasses, screens, or other materials claimed to block or filter blue light.
Light Detector: A sensor used to measure the amount of blue light passing through the material or a material that absorbs and reacts to blue light.
Measurement: Comparison of the intensity of blue light before and after passing through the material to determine the effectiveness of blocking.
This test can involve simple methods at home or more sophisticated laboratory techniques.

Teslass - Blue Light Transmission/Reduction Test

We conducted extensive testing of blue light penetration through various materials. First, we tested optical glass, which provided no protection and was completely ineffective. Then, we tried optical polycarbonate, which also did not offer better protection than glass, allowing blue light to pass through. We also tested cheap blue light protection glasses purchased online, which proved ineffective in blocking blue light.

Finally, we tested Teslass sunglasses. The results were impressive – Teslass sunglasses were the only ones that completely blocked blue light, providing reliable and effective protection for your eyes. With Teslass glasses, you can rest assured that your eyes are protected from harmful blue light in all conditions. In tests, Teslass sunglasses proved to be the top choice for everyday use. Their advanced HSC technology filters blue light, reducing eye fatigue and the potential harmful effects of prolonged exposure to blue light.

Teslass - Tesla Scalar Sunglasses not only provide exceptional protection but their modern design ensures comfort and style without compromise. Made from high-quality materials, these glasses are a reliable companion for outdoor activities and work conditions. Whether you are in the city or on vacation, Teslass sunglasses are your trusted eye protection.
